Luxury is often misunderstood. Something is not automatically luxury just because it is expensive. What's the difference between a luxury hotel and an expensive hotel? You pay a premium for both but the luxury hotel backs that up with impeccable service and outstanding features. The expensive hotel's niche is just that it's expensive; said another way, overpriced. Whoever thinks value is not at the heart of luxury doesn't know anything about luxury. Price is not the entry barrier to luxury - quality is. Quality is what justifies the price and therein lays the true value of a luxury good.
